I know that this device is not designed for skin rejuvenation because it's not for large areas, however is it still effective for small skin areas?

What are the side effects of red light therapy?

The FDA has cleared Red Light Therapy devices as safe and effective for a number of uses, including reducing muscle, tendon, and joint pain. One potential side-effect if this device is not used with direct skin contact and a person does not use darkening glasses is eye strain.

That is why we recommend using the darkening glasses provide to reduce the chance of eye strain if you are watching the treatment area and you are not using the device with direct skin contact. There are no known drug interactions with Red Light Therapy.

Is 600nm go deep enough to penetrate to muscle for heal pain and inflammation?

This is the deepest penetrating unit on the market. The output irradiance at the front optic is over 300,000 lux (Brightness at Lens 386,000 lux).

Will this go through bone? How deep does it penetrate?

Yes, the light does go through bone. Bone is even easier for red light to go through than muscle. The Quantum Rejuvenation red light therapy unit is the most intense unit on the market, so it penetrates deeper than any other unit.

The answer to your question of how deep it penetrates depends on how much blood is in the tissue it is going through (because blood is the main thing that back-scatters red light), and what amount of light you need at the penetration depth.

Can this be used on animals?

Yes, it can be used on animals just like it can be used on people.

On what type of animals can it be used?

You can use it on any animal as long as you follow the same recommended precautions as for use on humans.

Does it get hot after several uses? Is it ok to use it when hot?

It does get warm after several minutes of use. The unit functions fine when it is warm.

How long do the LED bulb last for?

The LEDs have a general life expectancy of 50 000 hrs. At 30 mins per day this would be most likely last more than a human lifetime. However, it also depending on how extensively it's used and the conditions it's used in.

How many minutes of light can you get per charge?

About 160 minutes of light on one charge of the type of battery that comes with the unit.
